Understanding Our DMCA Policy
SlutMegle respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We will promptly process and investigate notices of alleged copyright infringement and will take appropriate actions in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable intellectual property laws.
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act is a United States copyright law that implements two 1996 treaties of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). It criminalizes production and dissemination of technology, devices, or services intended to circumvent measures (DRM) that control access to copyrighted works.
If you believe that your copyright-protected work has been copied, distributed, or made publicly available on this website in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide our designated Copyright Agent with a written notice that includes the following elements:
Required Elements for DMCA Notice
To be valid under the DMCA, your infringement notification must include the following:
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be held liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees incurred by the alleged infringer.
DMCA Takedown Notice Template
Below is a template you may use to submit your DMCA notice. Please complete all required fields:
Once we receive your valid DMCA notice, we will: 1) Confirm receipt, 2) Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material, 3) Notify the user who posted the content, and 4) Provide them with an opportunity to submit a counter-notification if they believe it was mistaken.
Counter-Notification Rights
If you believe that your content was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification under Section 512(g) of the DMCA.
To be valid, your counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and its location before removal/disablement
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court
Please note that if you submit a counter-notification, the original claimant has 10 business days to file an action seeking a court order to restrain you from engaging in infringing activity. If we don't receive such action, we may restore the removed content.
Repeat Infringer Policy
SlutMegle has a policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We reserve the right to:
- Remove or disable access to material that infringes copyright
- Terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright
- Restrict access to our services for users who repeatedly infringe
Users who upload or share copyrighted content without authorization may have their accounts suspended or terminated. We take copyright infringement seriously and will act to protect intellectual property rights.
